Prologue:
4 days 4 nights in HK are always too short, that's already time to go back home to Shanghai!My gf and my friend both enjoyed the trip there, so that's the most important!
The airport express brings you directly to HK airport. If you travel in group go to the counter desk to buy the ticket you can have some discounts (3 tickets fo 230HK$ instead of 345HK$). Avoid the taxi (more than 400HK$ when we arrived in HK)
Due to the current strikes in HK an additional security control had been added when we went out from the train. Prepare the passport and the BP/itinerary to go through. Once inside there were no troubles

Control border and baggage check
Skyteam lounge is located next to the gate 5. Keep it in mind because it's not clearly indicated.
Yeah time to enjoy it!!! Well... no! We bought a shared code flight and HX is not part of Skyteam so the access to the lounge is not allowed... Even if it's written bought with China Eastern... So I'll know it for the next time. Let's be positive I was able to try HK airlines!
Since I don't have access to the lounge We must find somewhere to eat! A panel indicates more restaurants next to our gate 210. We took the shuttle to reach the gate and surprise only 1 restaurant available...
Good surprise our plane is a A350-900 !

3-3-3 configuration for the Y the J was in 1-2-1 but impossible to take a pic
There is an IFE for tonight!
The captain informed us a 10-min delayed due to the weather. 30min later he informed us a technical issue on board but no worries if Engineers cannot fix it we don't care it's useless for our flight... Humm not really reassuring!

The headphone for tonight. Sound was quite good.
Since we had 30min they gave us some refreshment! I mean a glass of water
The exits are in the front in the middle....
40min later we are pushed back then 30min more to queue before taking off!
Finally we have a hot meal tonight. +1 for HK airlines
The food is pretty good
But the dessert... It tastes like water with flour!
Unlike China Eastern you can even select French languages for the movies!

Of course they prepared only 1 bus for the whole plane... So we must wait for the next bus! I have time to do some spotting!
Another Chinese logic... 1 counter opened for 3 planes (Barcelona Moscow HK) full of foreigners... and 5 counters opened for 0 Chinese people -____- After 40 min queueing I was finally in Shanghai! Then an additional 45min of taxi! Arrived home at 3am!

Summary:
I discovered 2 things: be careful when you buy a shared code flight! and HK airlines is very good!1h15 delayed, 40min queueing in the Shanghai customs, then 45min taxi to go back home, Monday morning was complicated at the office!

I've read carefully the flying blue agreement, it's specified (but not fair according to me) that shared code can access to the lounge if and only if it's operated by a Skyteam partner. Then, the question is why to do codeshared with competitors!

- You are supposed to eat that type of dessert with a sweet syrup. None provided? Faux pas! Chinese cuisine is one of the greatest in the world (I'm not biased and completely objective) but when it comes to desserts.....
HX seems to be a decent carrier to fly. Too bad that they will cancel their flights from SFO in Oct.

- I don't even eat those things myself. But then again my taste has been "compromised" by foreign influences. :P I've been corrupted. ha ha.
