Prologue:
Last report for this trip to France!I've landed in Beijing Capital and for once immigration was efficient, they opened new counters when they saw the flow of foreigners! It took me 10 min to pass the immigration.
Then I had 2 options: metro and train to go back to Shanghai or another plane!
The first option was the worst idea! October 1st was the 70th anniversary of the PRC, with a huge military parade in the city center, better to say that metro, taxi... would have been a nightmare, without adding all the controls to the foreigners because we had no reasons to be in Beijing on that day!
So, I choose option 2. I took my luggages and ran the the ticket counter to get the first flight to Shanghai (yes, I had another early flight the day after, I didn't want to arrive in the middle of the night!). I got one for the next flight, 2 hours later. Then, luckily I used my Elite plus status to enjoy the VIP checkin at China Eastern. 10 min later, I got the BP, checkin my luggage and passed the security! I can relax next to the gate before the flight!
Flight is expected to be on time on the gate 19. Let's go there! I don't have access to the lounge as it's a domestic flight.
They installed new devices for the boarding. You go into the sas then scan the BP and the facial recognition identifies you. A Parafe (French people know!) like but for boarding!
I can see my previous plane!
Time for boarding with the respect of priority well kinda! The non priority can go through the sas first but it seemed it took longer time!
We're boarding the A333 to Shanghai Hongqiao configuration is a 2-4-2 for the Y. I couldn't take pics of the J.
Good surprise the IFE is available but since we're on China Eastern only English and Chinese languages are suggested.
Nice choice of movies series... I cannot complain for such a short flight!
WiFi is available onboard I'll check that later on. Indeed it is activated only after take off
Y are lucky to be granted a noise cancelling headset! No no no I'm just kidding!
Time to check the WiFi. Phone is on plane mode then you should activate the WiFi select CEAIR-WIFI and a popup with a form appear. Put your name seat number and passport and hop...
Click on go Internet. Wait... Oh no not working today... I told you Karma!!!! This return flight (Paris-Hanoi-Beijing-Shanghai) is full of unexpected events!
At the opposite of Air France we have a hot meal for this 2h flight. And honestly speaking it was tastier than the one in J from Vietnam Airlines between Hanoi and Beijing!!!!

Summary:
After an additional flight, some extra wasting time, a 45min ride in taxi, I finally arrived home!Time to unpack this luggage and repack it, the day after, I'll be flying to North East of China!

ReplyMoi j'aime bien. 2h de vol et tu as un vrai repas et le wifi. Pouquoi ne pas avoir utilise les miles? Par contre je ne comprends pas pourquoi meme en vol interne tu n'as pas le droit au salon.
Thomas me disait qu'il faisait la navette PVG-SZX sur Star et il pouvait y aller. Bizarre ST.

Pour le salon, les vols domestiques n'y ont pas le droit sauf au bon vouloir de la compagnie. Genre en France, pas de soucis, en Chine ca marche que si t'as un segment international avec la même compagnie.
Après ca dépend peut être que de China Eastern...
ReplyWelcome back Antoine. A tad expensive but given it's a last minute ticket, I guess it's okay. Unreal to see a Chinese airline giving a free meal meal while in US, you've got to pay !

Clap de fin pour ce retour en mode galère, mais tout est bien qui fini bien!
Etrange l'accès salon car les règles Skyteam sont pourtant claires, il faut qu'il y ait un vol international sur une compagnie Skyteam le même jour... Ce qui techniquement est le cas et ce peu importe que ce soit ou non la même compagnie!
Pour le reste un super vol pour une si courte durée et si tu compares au TR entre CDG et WAW que je viens de poster on est sur 2 planètes différentes!

Oui comme disait GG je vais revérifier ce point d'accès au salon pour les prochains vols!
En effet, pour 2h de vol c'est plutot cool: IFE, WiFi (quand ca marche), plat chaud!
