Prologue:
After a wonderful week-end in SFO with our Panda, it was time to head back to the airport.Adan was so kind to drive me around.
Time to review the lounge and the flight.
Don't worry I'm not driving ;)
Almost there
It's 10 am with many Asian flights it's packed so packed that we are advised to head to the domestic security check.
It took me 20 min to clear security and then I mande my way to the lounge.
Here we are again.
I'm going straight to shower.
Once it's all done It's time to enjoy our lunch.
Let's check the buffet where I grabbed the meat + garlic bread.
We found a seat in the dinner area
With Panda where he was too shy to be on the pic. Casper Bis ? hahahahah
Let's start slowly. Delicious.
Adan is speechless about his sald..
And so am I about my plate. Don't get me wrong it was fine but it's a bit stingy to giv only 2 shrimps.
The polenta cake was good.
so were the deserts
I ordered a capuccino that was very good while Adan could not resist to order a salmon.
IT was time to walk a bit and enjoy the deck
Panda and GG plane.
My flight has arrived.
Boarding started 30 min late.

It was so so long to get the meal.
The soup was fine... While texting Adan all the way.....
I forgot to take a picture of the main... Well not much to miss given how was it was... I skipped the sweat and made mine with my nutella taken from the hotel.
Ready to sleep
I woke up 6h later
Flying from JFK I would have minded to get this but from the West Coast it's a shame. Don't tell me you can't put together a hot meal.
Back to SFO ? lol

Summary:
TP is fine for the price paid but I'd rather eat on MS.The Polaris is good despite cost cutting few things.

It was great to see you again and I'm so glad that this time you were able to see our famous Golden Gate bridge. To tell you the truth i had to do a double take with that LIS arrival pic. :P
I think the Polaris lounge is cutting corners and portions are smaller now. The shrimp appetizer should be served on a smaller dish and my salad was supposed to be a main meal. Also the chocolate skillet cookie was fine but the sauce was a miss. Who can conceive something like an orange blossom white chocolate sauce? It might sound intriguing on paper but the taste was really strange. I can't think of eating that with a chocolate base dessert.
The seat looks comfortable but the catering is poor. I can't believe that for a flight of this length TP does not offer a hot meal in J. I guess LH is following its steps because rumor has it that at the end of Nov. the second meal on long haul flights in PEY and Y will be a cold vegetarian dish. Wow!
Thanks for sharing this experience and again for the invitation to the Hilton lounge.
