Prologue:
Hello and welcome to my first trip for 2020.The "raison d'être" for this itinerary was an email from AA granting me Platinum Pro status for a few months. It's been a long time since I flew AA and I said to myself why not. As an avgeek this will give me the perfect excuse to hop on a plane and see how are things at AA.
I was scheduled to depart at 10:39A but since I woke up at 5:00A I decided to standby for an earlier flight.
it was a cold and foggy morning so I walked to the station to catch the airport bus leaving from my place. I live in Burlingame which is a residential suburb very close to the airport. The walk was about 7 min. and the ride on the bus 10-15 min. Not bad at all.
I went to the Priority line and a very friendly and smiling agent placed me on the standby list for the earlier flight. The counters were not that busy during this time.
The line for TSA Pre-Clear was busy but we moved fast. Once inside I had to walk to the adjacent terminal where the "C" gates were located. AA uses two terminals at SFO.
Right after you clear security you take the hallway connector to the B & C gates (or DL terminal as I call it).
You can go to the Yoga Room or do plane spotting along the way.
Some seats to rest your tired feet.
Speaking of feet.....
We are here
I checked with the agent and my boarding pass is issed. I noticed that it was an aisle so I asked if I can be switched to a window and I was given 9A - second row with better leg room.
Boarding commenced on time and in an orderly fashion with priorities respected.
Seat pocket materials. The old NW logo (this was an American Eagle flight operated by Compass)
Ready for take off and FA closing bins.
AS next door
Taxiing out.
Its very foggy today. I will miss the spectacular aerial views taking off from SFO (so I thought)
The fog was confined to a limited area so i still enjoyed some great aerial views. That highway 101 connecting the Peninsula to SF.
Cruising altitude
Service started with choice of drinks and pretzels.
Approaching LAX
Is that a new terminal they are building?
Taxiing to the gate. UA 787.
Special livery on AA.
TB Intl.
AA 787
HA A330. i love this livery.
AA remote terminal.
My flight.
Time to catch the bus to the main terminal in a crowded bus.

Casper
It's challenging to be elite in one program, let alone in two. I am grateful that AA gave me this status until Apr. 2020 and I've enjoyed flying with AA.
Unfortunately no lounge access. ;)
Thanks Adan for this report and the upcoming Wirth AA! Pretzels in the morning, I love it ! Cheers; and stunning photos.
Always a pleasure to share my reviews. Stay tune for the next one with a very special bonus. ;)
Morning Panda, you were in my city, It was a fun read/report. Thanks and see you!

Lovely YTR dear Adan, very nice pictures !
Thanks for your kind words.
Hello Adan!
What a nice report with very beautiful pictures!!!
Onboard it's better than DL on this kind of flights...
Thank you for sharing
It turned out to be a nice day to fly after all. It helped that I had a window seat. I normally reserve the aisle but not on this trip.
Woof ! Panda !
Incredible this confined foggy area.
It's impossible to imagine, that it is just for you^^
A ghost atmosphere for a Scoubidou..not a Panda !
Thanks to this better seat, we enjoy these beautiful aerial views.
Very soft catering:(..As in France:))
Thanks, dear JetSet' for sharing this interesting ytr ! See you soon;))
The Bay area is a beautiful place and the fog adds a dramatic touch to the landscape. ;)
Glad to share this report with everyone.
Hi Panda, thanks for sharing this report! very nice pictures !!
Avec plaisir. ;)
Thanks for sharing this report
It was easy to change your flight and to clear a new First Class seat
Gorgeous aerial views during take off
The catering is a bit poor
Anyway the flight is short
See you soon for another report
I prefer to standby on an Embraer because there is never a middle seat. ;)
When you leave the Bay area you have great views.
I don't mind the poor catering for such a short flight. There is so much you can get on a 1 hr flight.
