Prologue:

Hello and welcome to the last segment of my return on Jetblue.

I really want to like B6 but for some reason I've had issues whenever I take their flights. The last time that I flew them from LAS-SFO a few years ago my flight was diverted to OAK and pax had to be accommodated in a taxi from OAK-SFO.

Fast forward to the present and on today's flight I am experiencing a delay of about 1 hr. Thankfully the delay was not extended and we even managed to leave a few minutes earlier.

Upon arrival into LAX I headed to the Admirals Club. AA has 2 of them at LAX - one in T4 and the other at T5 which used to be a DL Skyclub some time ago.

Unfortunately AA's Flagship lounge @ LAX has not re-opened so I had to settle for the regular Admirals Club. The big one at T4 was closed due to a plumbing issue so pax were referred to the one at T5. This worked out for me since my Jetblue flight would leave from this terminal.

Reception desk. I find that some AA agents are not very knowledgeable about lounge access for transcon pax on a premium cabin. Technically we are supposed to receive access on arrival as well but on AA's website this is not clear and only states departing flights. I had 2 agents ask their co-workers about this.

There is a rotunda in the middle of the lounge.

This is a bit anticlimactic having just visited the Flagship lounge in MIA. The buffet looks like it's back to normal with the usual offerings before covid.

There were 2 types of soups offered - kale minestrone type and a broccoli cheddar one. I tried both and liked the last one better.

Summary:

Jetblue has a good reputation among many travelers and their service has always gathered praise from the industry. Unfortunately my previous experiences with them has been marked by delays and irregular operations. Having said that I found their crew both in the air and on the ground to be professional and cordial.

Aboard the IFE system looks varied and B6 is the only carrier to offer fast and free wifi to all pax. I think that their Y seats are some of the roomiest in the industry.
