Prologue:

While in Athens we visited several restaurants and one of the best that Vendredi13 and I found was located in front of the Coco-Mat BC Hotel in Plaka near the Acropolis metro station.

The restaurant is small and there were tables that were lined up outside along the side of the building. It was pretty busy when we arrived with lots of locals which is always a good sign.

Food: 10/10

Summary:

Opos Palia was a great discovery that offered fantastic value for the money. Service by very friendly and our waitress took the time to explain the dishes and make suggestions. Don't come here for the ambiance if you are looking for an elegant and intimate setting. It's very casual but the food is excellent and satisfying.

We ordered 5 items in addition to a glass of wine and a bottle of mineral water and the total was EUR 42 for 2 people. That's amazing value in my book.
