Prologue:

Joon is also an airline? Oh really? Well, above all, it's an Air France sub-product born at the end of 2017. The first inaugural flight took place on December 1st. I could not join this first flight but made sure I was on board on my first day off from work. So, please, join me on this non-stop flight from Barcelona to Paris CDG airport for the first Joon Trip Report published here. Oh! And by the way, this is also my very first publishing here, yet hopefully not the last one!

I normally no longer eat meat but this time I want to try some nice Spanish cold cuts. A bit early for booze but who cares

It's all about meat here...

But the liquids are engaging. I'll settle for a Martini Bianco. Well

Summary:

"Joon is also an airline." Well, with this sentence, Air France does not position this new airline very clearly. While the crew onboard looked very happy with their new job, the whole concept is not clear enough to me. There's still way too much AF flavour to have Joon clearly identified as a "disrupter". The buy-on-board concept is not well executed: free items cart are being served first and it takes some time to have access to the next extra items. I find this to be counter-productive. I bought because I wanted to but I'm not sure I would have done so in any other occasion. On the other hand, the benefits of the Sky Team product may play an important part when deciding where to put your money. So, are we living a new in-flight revolution? Is this going to be the kind of service we should expect from a major airline? Only time will tell.
