Prologue:

End of my summer vacation in Europe. I departed from FRA because I was able to redeem an award through Alaska for 55.000 miles in J. Unfortunately there was nothing into SFO but Vancouver was close enough and it's on the West Coast with easy connections so I grabbed it.

This was my second time flying Condor and I love its J cabin. Cabin seats are private with aisle access, service is professional and catering is solid. I will dare say that I prefer it over LH J.

DE has an agreement for the use of LH lounges in FRA. I have been here before and it is OK. Nothing outstanding to be honest. It just serves its purpose. Items were not replenished regularly but I was here just to grab a drink and go.

A welcome by the agents and the LEGO pilot at the entrance.

Good thing this lounge is not crowded.

Summary:

This was my second time flying DE in J and I can honestly say that I really enjoy this product. The cabin is pleasant and elegant with very comfortable seats. Redeeming 55.000 miles + $200+ in taxes is a great proposition anyway you look at it.

The catering is very generous for the first appetizer course compared to other airlines. This is one feature that I really love about DE. If they can only provide pre-ordering so that everyone gets their first choice that would have been perfect.
