Prologue:
Being based in LA and with relatives in Europe, it's much easier/cheaper to buy the ticket from Europe.My trip started in LUX but did not bother doing a report.
I used to be Platinum with AF and ditched the FFP when my company made me fly extensively with US with AA.
The reason why I picked KL and AF is purely on the fare paid.

The breakfast buffet is a joke.

Summary:
After the flight I understand why I left Skyteam.Even if the flight from LAX to CDG was much better despite the sliding seat.
The catering and the lounge are both to blame.
I will shortly review Qatar Airways from DOH to LAX.
