Prologue:
After a week in France, that's time to go back home, in Shanghai.Similar to the first way, I'll fly to Hanoi before reaching Shanghai (teasing, plans are made to be unplanned...)
The return is also done with a wonderful A350-900!
And luckily, I'll wait for the departure at the M lounge!
Let's review this flight together!
I arrived at CDG 4h earlier than my flight. Indeed I enjoyed my time in Paris to do some shopping. So it's time to discover the tax refund area... Full of Asian obviously! But it was fast to register all the documents. I forgot... I love this screen when you arrive at CDG from the RER!
Going by the SkyPriority checkin. I had to wait for a few minutes before getting the boarding pass. A couple of Chinese in front of me had a couple of packages to check-in and they had to remove all the plastics around their luggages!
Direction to the M hall! I went to the front of the train... Today I'm the driver!!! Antoine is back to his childhood!
I avoid to tell you the 30min to get the refund by cash... Ok if you insist there were 3 people in front of me so I thought that will be quick! Wrong thought!!!!! The Chinese guy had literally 20 papers to be paid back by cash!!!!!!! WTF?! And he forgot to scan some documents so impossible to get the refund. He tried to bargain to the lady but the law is the law... He had to choose between giving up or leaving the airport going to the tax refund then pass the security again! After more than 30min I finally got my 28euros refund oh well no there is a tax of 4.5euros.... well that's really not 10% refund F*** them! Time to enjoy the M lounge the best for me!
After this experience I needed a small massage to relax and went to the Clarins center. It's 11h30 next available slot is at 13:30 30 min after my boarding time... Should call that Karma I guess...

Time to have a quick shower before the long haul flight. Bathroom is clean and well organized. They are using Clarins' products nothing to complain about that!!!

I must confess that the appetizer was disappointing green peas...
I initially ordered the salmon but they made a mistake and brought me the ham platter. Honestly I didn't mind and when the FA noticed his mistake he came to me to apologize and asked if I wanted to change. No need I like both!
The soup was really tasty.
I changed my habits by taking red wine this time instead of having a full meal with champagne!
And we finished the lunch with some fruits and mini cakes
Before sleeping I took a small break. That gives us the opportunity to see this real flower.
I didn't take any pics of the IFE but it was similar to the first flight. Note that there was an issue at the beginning (half catalogue available) and they had to restart the system to fix it.
Breakfast is the most important meal for me and should be sweet!!! What better to start the day but a crepe cereals yogurt pastry...
The sunrise is amazing when we're arriving to Hanoi!
I put the spotting pictures at the wrong position! At least you can enjoy it now! We first start with the view from Paris!
And when the sun is rising that means we're nearly landing in Hanoi!
Unfortunately the pollution was already there...
The military aircraft infrastructure
I was jealous that Capoune always shares some nice bonus pictures so I decided to copy him today! Let's first start with the LCL tower in Lyon with a photo taken from IBIS hotel.
Then I spent a few days in Paris so it gave me the opportunity to (re)visit the famous places: Notre Dame the Eiffel tower the Invalides...
Yes I climbed the 2 first floors by the stairs....!
The Invalides is a must-see place. You can discover Napoleon tomb Lyautey Foch and more. I also recommend to visit the church behind.

Summary:
First part of the trip is now done!The cabin didn't change from the first way. The same improvements are noticed: refresh the cabin, add the wifi, add a noise canceling headset.
The FA made an error on the starter, but the one served was good as well. After he noticed his mistake, he came to apologize. No worries, I also liked the ham platter!
Nice sunrise at the arrival! I enjoyed it.
Let's get ready for the second flight. Oh? What am i hearing? Things are not gonna go well? You'll discover it soon!

Le salon est bien, les photos sont superbes. J'aime bcp le 350, autant je suis fan du 777 mais le 350 ne me laisse pas de marbre.

Le salon du hall M est d'un très bon niveau.
Le salon du hall K fait tâche au 2E.
Dommage pour le soin Clarins qui est souvent victime de son succès.
A bord, on retrouve l'agréable cabine de VN sur A350.
Le catering semble bon.
Sympathique bonus qui permet de revoir les grands classiques lyonnais et parisiens.

It's a very usual Karma : many pax meet it from what I've read
The food spread is not appetizing at all, except for a sweet tooth.
At least the wine offer is rather good

I think VN has some ways to go before it can truly compete with the likes of SQ, CX or JL. But service was nice and that is something to notice.

Une fois de plus je choisis la facilité avec un com en Français, lol!
Je n’ai jamais eu la chance de tester les portes M et je le regrette, moi suis plus abonné aux portes K et le salon préhistorique!
A bord c’est vraiment pas mal dans son ensemble même si ça reste perfectible.
