Prologue:
Well, while most flyers are grounded, I take you back in the air with AA to Bogota. I had the great pleasure to meet Casper there.While the trip was taken 2 years ago, it was worth sharing with you.
As an Executive Plat I get few certificates per year that give you an upgrade.
Unfortunately, AA uses a regular domestic layout.
Upon checkin-in I'm getting the lounge invitation.
The good thing about this lounge is the view and how the natural light is going through.
In the upcoming months I don't expect so many flights.
Inside the lounge of the lounge !
I could not find the pictures of my dinner but I had a good meal.
Few pictures of the buffet. Bear in mind it was a temporary lounge before a real First Class lounge.
First Class is so overrated ..
The meal was terrible .. I mean edible but that's all folks

The lounge spread loks not that bad especially for an US lounge
And you had a good dinner
Fortunately because on board it was a terrible food
Anyway more than five hours, even in First Class, in a narrow body
is quite exhausting

It's a treat to see one of your TR's with nice pics.
The layout of that particular AA Club is nice with views of the tarmac and natural light. It's a good thing that you had access to the "temporary" F side, especially with such a long layover.
I can't believe AA used an A319 for that route. The J cabin only holds 8 seats. Is the demand for premium seats that low on that route? I guess most connections are sent through MIA which has a greater traffic.
Something is wrong when an intra-European meal is better than an intl route from the US to South America lasting over 5 hrs. That meal you were served is comparable to what you get on a domestic F cabin. AA needs to up their game but I'm afraid that during these uncertain times the trend will be going south faster than we can think.
It's great that you were able to meet Casper in his turf.
