Prologue:
Last month I was supposed to fly AS from SFO-ORD via SEA. Unfortunately due to a winter storm that hit the SEA area that broke havoc my connecting flight was cancelled and I was protected on UA. As a result of that fiasco I was given a $100 credit compensation since I was protected in Y and F was not available. My original tkt on AS was in F.As an avgeek I was intrigued by the idea of visiting the AS company store located at their headquarters so this trip proved to be the idea excuse to use my credit and also pay a visit to named store. Kill two birds from one stone as the saying goes.
The night before I checked in online and everything went smoothly.
AS is probably the only airline in the US that presently allows F pax to pre-order their meal so I took advantage of that feature.
Arriving at the AS tkt counter.
AS cart offering masks and disinfecting products to all pax.
I used the check in kiosk to reprint my boarding pass.
I had TSA pre-check and the line was not busy at all.
Inside T2.
Water station.
The old AA Admirals club. This space is closed and vacant. Pre-Covid19 AS had plans to open a lounge in SFO that would have been inaugurated in 2020. Unfortunately that project never took place.
Most retail stores and restaurants were closed with the exception of a few establishements.
One of the few businesses open.
The current SFO exhibition at T2.
Walking to the gate area.
The windows at T2 have a dot pattern that makes picture taking challenging.
If you get the lens as closes to the window as possible you might be able to somewhat counterbalance this effect.
Gate area. I somehow missed the initial boarding for the F cabin. I think they boarded a bit earlier and I ended up being the last F to take his seat so not a lot of previews of the cabin or the seat. Sorry.
Cheerful crew welcoming pax aboard.
The bulkhead wall with Alaskan motif. I love this distinctive design but it will be replaced by a more contemporary one.
Water and sanitizing wipes were at the seats.
Enough room.
Taxiing out.
DL's new addition.
Improvements coming soon.
Grand Hyatt hotel.
Take off.
I think this is OAK airport.
Service started. Our FA was superb. She was friendly professional and was able to anticipate my needs.
Cabin was full.
I appreciate that AS publishes a detailed brochure about the services and entertainment available to pax.
I did not forget you Seb. ;)
FA confirmed my pre-order and brought my meal with choice of beverage.
Not bad.
Beautiful scenery along the way.
Snack basket is also offered for this roughly 2 hrs. flight. Call me impressed!
I went to check the Y cabin.
Every seat has an electrical socket.
AS must be the only airline with an average of 3 WC's in the back on their 737's.
To my surprise the FA left me a freshly baked warm cookie when I returned.
I did not eat the whole thing. :)
More beautiful scenery on arrival into SEA.
Boeing ?
Downtown SEA.
Sharp turn.
Mt. Rainier in the background.
My seat 1F.
FA gave me a souvenir when I asked for something with the logo or livery of AS.
My arrival gate was below the new Alaska lounge in Terminal N. I couldn't resist the urge to go up and visit their flagship lounge.
Reception.
If you turn left there is the chimney area.
Quiet room area.
If you turn right at the entrance you come across the Dining room area and the Bar.
Dining room offerings.
Chicken Cesar salad crudites and cheeses.
Tomato bean and pasta soup.
Pancake machine.
Dining room area.
My lunch.
To finish.
WC.
The Bar.
Mimosa Flight drinks.

Summary:
For a 2hrs flight AS offers a solid product that even surpasses competitors. The service on my flight consisted of a pre-ordered meal that I was able to submit, followed by a snack basket and warm cookies from the oven. If AS is able to do this why don't AA and UA offer warm cookies as part of their premium transcon service?.The crew was a joy to fly with. Our F purser never stopped for a second and was always on her feet making sure that pax were taken care of. I followed up with a comment to AS about the great service that I received on this flight.
The AS Lounge is truly a magnificent lounge that represents its Pacific Northwest roots very well in its design. It's open and spacious with fantastic views of the players at SEA airport. The only minor criticism that I have is the lack of shower facilities. This will be more relevant as AS forges a partnership with AA and their intl operations out of SEA

A great service provided with AS which is not surprising. The lounge itself is very good, the lounge after the covid will be worth watching. Thanks my friend for this report.
Happy to share the first AS report on the site. I forgot to mention that. ;) Awesome lounge and I'm sure that it will be just as great after covid.
Impressive !
Quite a lovely experience and the lounge is on par with other reviews. Last to board but the best boards last.
Take care and see you for another TR.
Well they say that people save the best for last, right? ;) See u on the return.
Amigo, you have a gift to write your reports!
it was a pleasure reading your journey with top notch pictures. How much have you spent voucher included ?
Just a passion for travel and aviation, that's all.
Thanks for stopping. My voucher had a credit for USD 100. My trip cost about USD 230 (EUR 192.40) so I ended up paying USD 130 (EUR 108.80) for a RT SFO-SEA tkt in F.
Hi Adan!
Thank you for this first report on YTR with AS!!!
Great product for such a short flight. The lounge at SEA looks great.
The safety card is very nice, thank you Panda, lol
Thank you fo sharing with.
Take care
Glad to be the first to share AS here.
It's really a very good product when you think about it. Most competitors will just throw a sandwich or packed snack for a flight this long. AS gives you more.
Don't mention it. ;)
Thanks AS looks realy good
It was to get reacquainted with AS. It's been a very long time since my last trip with them.
Ouaf ! Ouf ! Ouch ! JetSet !
Superb presentation. (And I know all the work that such a report represents;)
I love the fresco with the birds at SFO. No access to any shared lounge?
On board, these business seats seem comfortable. The catering looks really correct for this 2 hours flight in the middle of the morning.
The aerial views are beautiful. and Alaska's lounge at Seattle is definitely bright.
Congratulations for this ytr, JetSetPanda !
Glad you liked it. Yes SFO has some very unique artwork.
Unfortunately there is no lounge at this terminal. I know AS lounge members can use AA Admirals' club but I'm not sure if pax flying F on AS can also have access. I didn't try because that means changing terminals and the hassle of going through security again.
That was the old cabin which is quickly replaced by a newer one. AS catering is really good for this flight and gives you much more than competitors.
The flight pattern on this route is full of beautiful scenery. I think it is one of the most impressive ones in the US.
Thanks and see you around.
