Prologue:

My connecting flight to Miami proved to be the opposite of my previous flight. It was empty and surprising that this flight was destined to Florida. I guess everyone who had to be there was already there.

IAH was pretty busy from what I was able to see.

The UA Club was not too crowded and it proved to be a nice spot. I had a close connection so I did not linger for too long.

Lots of packaged snacks.

The 737 MAX at the gate.

There were 2 of these on each row.

Taxiing out.

Take off.

Bye Houston.

Snack pack distributed.

Poor man's F class. LOL

Summary:

First time flying the 737 MAX on UA and it proved to be a very smooth ride. An empty flight is always a treat and I made the most out of this.

Yes a "lie flat" bed in Y. I wouldn't mind flying like that on long haul. Catering is always a weak point with US carriers. On the other hand they get more traffic so it makes sense to "thin" the catering.
