Prologue:

Welcome to this return segment of my one day trip to SEA.

After finally experiencing the A220 on the outbound now it's time to go back home but before I do that I will explore the DL Skyclub at SEA and AMEX Centurion lounges.

Warm welcome by the agent at the door.

Right next to the reception desk there is a staircase leading to the 2nd floor. There is also another set at the other end.

Featured chefs.

The lounge is big with lots of different types of seating.

Buffet area.

Pork ribs.

Roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

Cauliflower mac n' cheese.

Sandwiches.

Cold salads.

Cheese plate.

More salads and spreads.

Art around the lounge.

Staircase to the 2nd level.

Another round of snacking.

The AMEX Centurion lounge is near the DL Skyclub. I received a warm welcome upon arrival just like at the DL one.

Lounge is not that big.

Chicken and tomato soup.

Only 1 hot protein dish - meatloaf.

Gate agents were very professional and boarding was conducted quickly. Flight was not full.

We were handed a sanitizing wipe upon boarding.

Summary:

This was a nice quick trip to SEA and I'm glad that I had the chance to experience two more clubs there.

The DL Skyclub is pretty big and the food was plentiful. However I still find that the SFO one has better quality and a bit more choices. The upper floor was mostly empty and I noticed that there are no elevators to access it, just staircases.

The AMEX lounge is small and the food choices are a bit limited because it doesn't have a kitchen from what I've read. However I though that the buffet display was sufficient. The bar area can get crowded and it's the only place with a view of the tarmac.

The flight itself was uneventful and the crew on the ground and in the air were friendly and professional.

Hi Seb,

I usually like the DL lounges and they offer better catering compared to regular AA and UA lounges.

There is something very attractive about a red safety card. ;)

Hola amigo.

DL offers better catering in their lounges compared to the "regular" UA Club and Admiral lounges for the following reason.

While UA and AA have a more upscale version of their regular lounges designed for their premium market and customers such as UA Polaris and AA Flagship, DL does not have that equivalent. They only have the Skyclub to work with and therefore they have to provide for the premium pax on DL 1 in a way. I think it's a good compromise. The only thing lacking is sleeping rooms or rest areas.

Nice Delta lounge. With a wide catering. Not sure we have the same in Europe, at the moment.

Maybe catering is not as wide as DL Skyclubs but overall I think European lounges offer decent catering.

Well seen. The pedestrian bridge over the runway looks like an interesting place. Maybe I will pay a visit in the future if it is accessible. ;)

For domestic travel you can't get better than this (except premium transcon on AA Flagship) at the moment.
