Prologue:

Welcome to the return portion of my PVR trip. The night before we were caught by surprise by a hurricane that quickly developed into a Cat. 4 storm and thankfully the landfall happened approx. 35 miles south of Puerto Vallarta.

There were damages around town but things could have been worse. Our hotel was left without water or electricity but there were other areas around town that had electricity running. We walked around town and actually saw some damages that the hurricane left behind.

Airport operated as normal the following day after the hurricane.

VIP Lounge I think that there is only 1 VIP lounge @ PVR and it consists of 2 floors. There were a few items available on a self serve buffet area but there were also some sample sandwiches and salads that could be ordered through the waitstaff and brought to your table.

Overall this lounge was fine and catering was correct for its size. I saw 2 shower rooms available on the lower floor.

Summary:

The hurricane on the last day of vacation was unexpected and thankfully it was not as bad as expected. We were just glad to be able to leave PVR on schedule.

AS was a solid choice and the crew were friendly and professional. The catering could have been better portion wise but the ability to pre-order is a big plus.
