Prologue:
After a layover at the Yotelair inside the terminal and seeing the Jewel at SIN airport it was time to continue to FRA.The Jewel the previous night.
The Jewel in the morning.
I checked out of the Yotelair and walked to T3 to check in for my flight.
*A Gold members are grouped with the "Premium Economy" pax when checking in at SIN. With all the other airline partners you can check in at the J counters.
Krisflyer Gold lounge. A nice welcome but here again *A Gold members are treated to a "lesser" lounge instead of the regular J one.
To be honest the KrisFlyer lounge is pretty nice with decent food options.
Good quality tea but not a lot of variety.
Plane at the gate.
Boarding was smooth and efficient.
Y+ cabin.
Nice personal welcome by the flight manager as a *A Gold. Never had that happened with any other airline flying Star Alliance. She also brought me some souvenirs upon asking.
One of the crew members asked if I wanted to move to another seat. It seems that there is an issue with the bulkhead tray tables and they don't seem sturdy enough when deployed. I decided to just stay where I was because of the legroom in front.
An airline you don't see often in the USA.
Taxiing out.
Bye SIN.
Right after take off I went to the WC's located in the back.
When I exited the WC the drink service has already started. As soon as the FA saw me standing in the aisle she moved her cart and allowed me to go back to my seat.
She got back to me quickly and asked for my drink order. I had a Singapore Sling. Outstanding service.
No printed menus were given. I had pre-ordered my meals through "Book the Cook". For the first meal I chose Japanese eel over rice. It was just delicious!
I didn't have too many issues with the tray table. It could have been sturdier but it was not as bad as initially thought.
Smoked chicken with corn appetizer.
Ice cream for dessert.
After the meal service it was time to put the headphones and relax.
Crew was very attentive and made several offerings of water and juices. Also I saw them cleaning the WC's diligently.
Snacks in the galley midflight.
Snack.
2nd meal service - Nasi Lemak with chicken and omelette.
Shrimps with radish appetizer.
Some type of gelatin with mango sauce.
Landing in FRA.

Summary:
Once again it was a delight to fly SQ and to my surprise I was greeted at my seat by one of the flight managers. The crew was just outstanding and very proactive. The ability to pre-ordeal meals through "Book the Cook" in Y+ is a big advantage. I find it perplexing that SQ has not reintroduced printed menus for this cabin while most competitors offer something in print, even if it is one page.
Overall I really enjoyed my flight and the nice gifts were really special. Thanks SQ.

SQ is quite good, I'm glad you were able to experience SQ's delight.
Thanks my friend,
What a good review Adan^^
Outstanding report.
Hi Adan!
As always a very nice report!!!
The lounge is nice with good choice.
Nice seat onboard this A350, nice crew and good catering... What else???
Thank you for sharing with us my friend
Overall a pretty decent and solid experience. The only minor thing is that *A Gold members are not offered "real" J lounges and check in counters in SIN but on SQ these facilities are probably equal to competitors' J equivalents.
Thanks a lot for this great report JetSet.
Ouaf ! JetSetPanda !
A dedicated counter for the y+ isn't so bad. Less people.
For the lounge, Singapore must have a plethora of them. Not sure the difference is significant.
On board, nice cabin. The 1st and 2nd meals are okay. Too bad it's in plastic containers.
Singapore once again gives an excellent performance.
Thank you, Adan for this well-executed report.
I honestly don't think that the lounge is significantly different. I don't really drink so perhaps the true J lounge has a better alcohol selection but other than food was decent and the lounge had all the necessary elements for a frequent flyer's comfort.
The meals were satisfying and well portioned but they could be more "elevated".
See you. ;)
