Prologue:
After my late dept from MCO I was a bit worried about my connection to YVR since I still had to clear Immigration and Customs before proceeding. I figured that I would have approx 45 min which is close and on top of that this was my first time at YOW airport and had to navigate through a new airport for me.Thankfully clearing Immigration was quick and I hurried to the ticket counter to check on my flight. Imagine my relief when I saw that my connecting flight was also delayed for about 1 hr. Now I could take my time to explore the airport and the lounge.
Porter ticket counter.
Going thru security at the domestic terminal.
Post security.
Spacious halls with good seating areas.
This terminal had 2 lounges - AC MLL and Aspire.
I used my Priority Pass membership to access the Aspire lounge.
Reception was warm and friendly.
Interior.
Menu
Buffet seemed decent.
I love the charcuterie plate with terrine and cold cuts. Why can't US lounges offer a good terrine?
The lounge was not crowded and I enjoyed my stay here.
Boarding was quick and soon I was welcomed aboard.
Cabin.
After take off menus were distributed. Glad to see a new cover.
Choices were slightly different.
Distribution of boxes to PorterReserve pax.
The salad appetizer was bland and a bit tasteless.
On the other hand the choux were delicious.
I ordered the croissant duo. For an evening meal this was very light.
Snack basket was passed before arrival.
Along with a complimentary shot of ginger defence. I liked it but the taste is a bit strong so others might not enjoy it.

Summary:
I was glad that this flight was also delayed allowing me time to explore the Aspire lounge.Service aboard was friendly but after the meal service I did not see the crew proactively offer water or drinks. On top of that when I asked for tea I was informed that hot drinks were not available. Probably equipment issues.
Our flight was delayed by about 1 hr but at the end I made it to YVR and went directly to an airport hotel for the night.

Ouaf ! JetSetPanda !
Oh yes the lounge is nice. And the part of terrine makes my mouth water^^ So i can easily imagine for an american;)
Does Porter give access to the lounges ?
On board, a cold lunch box is not enough for a so long flight. They have time to heat.
Does Porter have a business class ?
Thanks Adan for sharing this report on this new airline company.
See u soon my friend;)
Hi mon oauf,
I was surprised that Aspire lounge was so aesthetically pleasing for a medium size airport. Catering is good in my opinion.
I was able to enter through Priority Pass. Porter does not have a J class and therefore do not give access to lounges.
Thank you for commenting. Ciao!
I'm sold on their product !
Gracias amigo !
A lot of people love this airline and looks like it's putting pressure on AC to modify their US-Canada and copying them in offering free liquor and premium snacks in Y.
Competition is always good for the consumer. ;)
Thanks my friend, what a nice report.
Hello Panda,
Nice lounge at YOW.
Even if the meal is a little light the performance is not bad at all I think. What's the price difference with a standard ticket?
Take care my friend!!
Great airline indeed^^
I am so suprised by the service on board.
