Prologue:

Bienvenidos a este breve reporte de un vuelo en CM que tomé el año pasado. El vuelo era de noche y tenía un asiento en el pasillo, así que no tuve la oportunidad de hacer avistamientos de aviones y vistas aéreas, pero en el próximo informe habrá más de eso.

Hay 3 United Clubs en T3 después del control de seguridad. Este está escondido en el área del entrepiso frente a la puerta 71A. Necesitas tomar un ascensor para llegar allí.

El salón es pequeño y no hay luz natural ni vistas al exterior.

Bar

Buffet en la parte posterior.

Bar de ensalada y sopa. ¿Dónde está la bandeja de embutidos?

Puerta G93.

Avión en la puerta.

El embarque fue ordenado y justo después del despegue se sirvió la cena. Había una elección entre pasta y carne de res. Elegí raviolis de queso y no había suficiente salsa de tomate. Tuve un vaso de agua y una combinación de jugo de piña / guayaba que solo CM ofrece para acompañar la comida.

Ensalada.

Estaban buenos pero no había suficiente salsa.

Postre.

Antes de aterrizar un servicio de snack fue ofrecido.

Summary:

Este fue un vuelo promedio con CM y el servicio fue cortés. Creo que CM es generosa al ofrecer un servicio completo de cena y merienda en sus vuelos cuando los competidores dan menos.

Todas las bebidas,incluyendo las alcohólicas son gratuitas.

That's a very long trip on a 737... red-eye.. While the tray is free, they are a bit stingy. Why no Charcuterie GG won't be happy !

Hi Thomas,

Good luck with this airline. CM doesn't have widebody planes. At least AV has A330's and 787's.

UA included in their marketing and communications that a charcuterie tray would be available as part of its club improvements. I think we know how this tale ends. ;)

The lounge offer is very poor even if there were a (bad) charcuterie tray ;)

More than 7 hours flight time and this is the meal that CM is serving ???
WTF let's go eating a Clam Chowder or BYOF before boarding

Hi GG,

UA Club offers have always been poor. For a very short time I have seen the elusive charcuterie tray but they seem to have disappeared.

Fly a US carrier and see what they give you on a similar flight of the same length. At least i had a choice of a hot meal. Clam chowder with sourdough bread is delicious but I prefer my bread toasted and with butter. :P

Terrible to get such a plane on a long haul and overnight.
Were you on diet ? lol,you'd better eat in the lounge prior to the flight.

Yeah "see-food" diet. All I had was rabbit food at the lounge. :P

You want me to be banned from UA for life? :P I agree that those posters are quite unique and I have never seen them anywhere else but at this lounge.

Boeing 738 for a 7h flight!!!! The lounge is very poor but onboard it’s not so bad.

Any flight above 5 hrs should be on a widebody plane. One can only hope.

SFO is actually a very nice airport. Maybe I'm biased. ;)
